Offshoring business - I’m quite disappointed with this company. My daughter was paired with a tutor who was okay, but based on a couple things I noticed during her classes, I suspected she was not based in Canada. I goggled her tutor and sure enough she lives in a foreign country. It was not made clear when I signed up that this was an offshoring business. I prefer to use my money to support the Canadian economy and Canadian workers. I have since found a private tutor based in Toronto for a lower cost. I also found their cancellation policy to be overly rigid compared with private tutors.

Honestly we were skeptical about online tutoring at first, but it’s been convenient not having to drive anywhere after work. The assessment at the beginning helped identify exactly where my daughter was struggling. We also get regular updates, which I appreciate because French isn’t something I can really monitor myself.

We started with Bonjour Tutors midway through the school year when my daughter in Grade 4 was really falling behind in French Immersion. I don’t speak French myself, so homework time had become stressful for both of us. Her tutor has been calm, organized, and very patient. After a couple months, she started participating more in class and her last report card was noticeably better.

My daughter has been a student of Mme Hibba. I've seen improvement in her french speaking and she looks forward to her classes. Mme Hibba got to know my daughter and worked with her at her pace and level. I'm very pleased with bonjour tutors and Mme Hibba.

My daughter needed support transitioning into French Immersion after moving schools. The tutor was patient and adapted pretty quickly to her level. She still has areas to improve, but she’s much less anxious about French class now.

We’ve been using Bonjour Tutors for around six months for our Grade 8 son. Communication has been professional and consistent. The tutor keeps him accountable but also understands when school weeks get hectic. His oral French has improved the most.

Good experience overall. The lessons are organized and the tutor explains things clearly. My child especially likes that the sessions are one-on-one because she’s too shy to ask questions in class sometimes.

I’ve been learning French with Omaima Ben Salah for about a year, and she’s an excellent teacher. She’s flexible with her approach and adapts lessons to my interests — since I love history, she often tailors our sessions around historical topics. She’s helped me improve my grammar, pronunciation, and everyday vocabulary, including useful phrases and idioms. Even the difficult or boring parts of French become enjoyable because she uses games and activities to keep things engaging. Thanks to her, I can confidently say: “je parle français.”
